CooperVision's Aquaform technology available exclusively in Avaira two-week and Biofinity monthly contact lenses gives lens materials hydrophilic (water-loving) properties. Aquaform utilizes longer siloxane chains, resulting in less silicone having to be incorporated into the material to achieve high Dk. It also creates charged areas within the lens material that form hydrogen bonds with water molecules, locking the water into the lens.

Additionally, the advanced aspheric optics of Avaira's aberration-neutralizing system enhance vision by minimizing spherical aberrations inherent in both the lens and the human eye.
